Do you enjoy practicing Yoga and need maximum relaxation?

Do you have frequent headaches, dizziness or migraines?

Do you suffer from sinusitis that doesn’t allow you to breathe properly due to allergies or colds?

What is it for and what are the benefits of Yoga eye pillow to relax eyes and face?

Application areas for pain relief with the yoga relaxation mask

What’s it for?

The Yoga eye pillow is designed to achieve deep relaxation during Savasana. We know that your eyes need a rest in your daily life, since they are attacked by so much artificial light and few hours of sleep. Therefore they will require extra care. The relaxing pad acts as an antidepressant, sedative and detoxifier and is ideal to use in our meditation, Shavasana (lying on your back) or even in our nap. Immediate relief and complete mental relaxation.

What are the benefits?

  • In warm or room temperature: They are very effective in calming the nerves around the eyes by adding gentle pressure and blocking light, relieving tension and calming the muscles around the eyes. The dry heat of the seeds and the aroma of lavender that it gives off when heated will be the best solution to give heat to any part of the body and without fear of hot liquid leaks as happens with water bags and without the use of electrical connections in the case of electric blankets.
  • Cold: This Yoga accessory is perfect to use also in cold as a pain reliever for inflammation, as well as to rest the eyes and relieve that uncomfortable feeling of swelling. Also for headaches that are concentrated in the forehead, temples or even the back of the neck, since the important thing for these pains to be eliminated is that the blood flows better towards the head, providing the necessary oxygen and nutrients that we need.

In which areas can we use it?

Without a doubt the best area to use the lavender eye pad for meditation is above the eyes and forehead, although due to its shape it can also be used in areas such as the neck and neck, hands and feet or any part of the body that needs care. If we decide to use it through heat therapy, we can feel how the treated body area relaxes immediately. If, on the contrary, we put it cold or at room temperature, the aromatherapy and the properties of lavender essential oil will do their job and we will reach a maximum relaxation.

Materials and ingredients, How are the heated aromatherapy eye masks for Yoga made?

Tama√Īo y medidas de la almohada de relajaci√≥n de Yoga para ojos y cara

‚úĒ Inside:

Filled with 350 grams of wheat and lavender in ideal proportions to be able to use it easily on the face with total comfort. It is important to note that the amount of filling used has been tested to fit the face and eye area perfectly and the seeds and flowers are distributed evenly throughout the wheat bag.

‚úĒ Outside:

The fabric we use, both the white one with the seeds and flowers, and the colored one, which we can remove for washing, are 100% cotton. Cotton has been chosen because it is a natural fibre that is very resistant to high temperatures and washing.

‚úĒ Shape:

The cover that carries the seeds is made up of a single cell, so that there is a homogeneous distribution of seeds throughout the facial heat pad and the possibility of playing with the amount of seeds desired in each area. These are perfectly distributed around your eyes and forehead. We decided on wheat because it can withstand the heat better than flax or linseed.

How to use the mask pillow filled with wheat seeds and flowers safely?

Hot Therapy:

Paso 1: calentar el saco en el microondas

Step 1) We heat our hot & cold compress for eyes in our microwave at full power for about 45 seconds.

Paso 2: Colócalo en la zona a tratar

Step 2) We place the lavender eye pillow on the area to be treated for 15 to 20 minutes, we will feel how the swelling pains remit and the blood flows better.

Paso 3: Elimina los dolores de momento

Step 3) Wonderful! The pain disappears and we automatically feel a great sense of well-being. We can repeat the process as many times as we want.

Cold Therapy:

Paso 1: Enfría el cojín de semillas en el congelador

Step 1) We cool our eye pad inside a bag in the freezer for about 1 hour before the cold treatment.

Paso 2: Pon el saquito en la zona a tratar

Step 2) We place the weighted eye mask on the painful area for 10 to 15 minutes, we will feel the pain disappear thanks to the cold effect on the facial contour.

Paso 3: Disfruta del frío local

Step 3) Well done! Thanks to the effects of the cold therapy our pains and inflammation disappear. For greater effectiveness, apply twice a day.

F.A.Q: Frequently asked questions about the lavender eye pad for meditation

If this is the first time you use a wheat bag you may have these questions, for which we have prepared the best answers so that you can start enjoying the heat pad as soon as possible for the relaxation of your eyes and forehead and thus be able to use it with total confidence and peace of mind.

How long do you have to heat it up in the microwave or in the oven?

This model can be heated for 45 seconds at 800W. If when you try it on your wrist it still doesn’t feel hot enough, reheat it in the microwave in 10 second intervals until it reaches the desired temperature. To heat it up in the oven (NEVER GAS OVEN), wrap the wheat bag in aluminium foil and heat for 8 minutes at 125¬ļC. This heating pad for the eyes is often used to relax without needing to heat it, simply with the smell of lavender, the slight pressure of the seeds and the darkness that it provides, allows us to enjoy a few minutes of tranquility.

How can I keep it to last longer and increase its life span?

The weighted eye mask for dry eyes is a totally natural product, with no programmed obsolescence, so its life span will depend on the maintenance we give it. In order to keep its power to retain cold and heat for a long time, it is advisable that every 6 months it is sprayed very lightly with a water spray or splashed with your hands, to rehydrate the seeds so that they cool or heat up more quickly and keep the cold or heat longer. When we are not going to use it, we must keep it in a cool and dry place and never inside a plastic bag, unless it is going to be stored in the freezer.

How long does the wheat bag last for hot or cold?

The heat in this heated eye mask for meditation in Yoga will last about 10-15 minutes, depending on the room temperature. This time is more than enough to give us all the benefits we need to treat blepharitis, dry eyes, eye strain, migraines, or just to give us a moment of absolute peace while we lie on a mat or the sofa. If we use it in bed on cold nights to warm our feet, we will be surprised to touch it the next morning and still feel the heat. When it is cold, we can enjoy it for 10 minutes, which is ideal for not overdoing it and always being safe.

Can the heat pack be washed to relieve headaches and migraines?

Of course you can!  The mask pillow filled with wheat seeds and flowers has a removable cover that can be washed as often as you like. It is as easy to remove as a conventional pillowcase and as it is 100% cotton you will simply have to give it the attention that this type of garment needs and that is, dry it outdoors and not in a dryer, to avoid it from shrinking too much. Remember that the white seed bag cannot get wet.

What will I get with the purchase of the hot & cold compress for eyes?

Give the gift of health and well-being, give this accessory for Yoga. Each one of our wheat bags comes inside a beautiful cardboard box with an instruction manual so that, even if it is not for you, but a gift, the person who receives it has all the information necessary to enjoy their best moment of the day. This bag can be an ideal gift for yoga lovers and for those people who have some kind of eye condition and want to complement the prescribed treatments along with an alternative therapy that is natural.

    Andrea Bought Stuff

Try this if you have a dry eye condition… – Bought this for my 85 year old mother who has had a dry eye condition for several years. Since developing this condition she is finding it very difficult to tolerate bright light – even watching the TV some days is impossible. She’s been having to use eye drops several times a day, but even then has to spend so much time looking downwards to avoid bright light that she thinks it’s effecting her posture.

So, I thought this wheaty bag might be worth a try and ordered one for her. Mum’s been using it each night for about 5-6 days (warming it in the microwave as per instructions and then placing it over her eyes for about 10-15 mins before going to sleep) and already she says her eyes are bothering her much less, she isn’t troubled by bright light to the same degree, has been able to watch some TV without discomfort and even thinks she’s able to open her eyes slightly wider than before!

She also said she feels like she’s sleeping a little better, so perhaps that’s something to do with the combination of the weight on her eyes (I read somewhere that the weight of the eye pillows they use in yoga trigger the brain to relax) and also the lavender scent. Funny thing is, she once asked her eye doctor if there were any herbal/alternative things she could try to ease her symptoms and he said no, not really. However, the 2 things Mum has found most helpful since developing this eye condition are Sea Buckthorn Oil capsules (it was much worse before she started taking them) and now apparently the wheat bag have given much needed relief from the condition. Thank you on Mum’s behalf.

Nice product. Feels good quality – I was told by my optician that one of these would be beneficial for sore dry eyes. You pop in microwave for 30-45 seconds. Lay back and placevon your eyes for 10 mins. Quite an odd, heavy sensation but very relaxing. Your eyesight is quite blurred afterwards- so leave time to recover.Nice product. Feels good quality. Would recommend.

A must if you have blepharitis – Does exactly as described. Excellent bit of kit for sufferers of blepharitis. I used as hot as I could bear then as it cooled used to gently massage eyelids. Gentle massage with ring finger then eases liquid fat out, ready to be wiped away. Eyes looked good after one week so now only use once or twice a week. Worth every penny – Thank you

Luxury cotton … well worth the extra pennies – This is a great heat compress for my eyes. 30 seconds in the microwave leaves it a nice heat which gently/slowly cools. The weight is good and creates a little pressure to help with the heat compress.I’ve had 2, one in cotton and this one in Luxury cotton, the luxury cotton is so much softer, with the std cotton feeling a little rough on my eyes so it’s well worth spending the extra for the luxury one.

Very comforting – I bought this eye mask to help dry eyes, having had a similar product recommended to me by someone who had the same condition. I have to say once heated and placed on the eyes the mask is really very comforting. I feel it’s weight is just right, but it does make your eyesight very slightly blurry when removed, however this clears quickly with a few rapid blinks! I had the one with the lavender scent which is very delicate and adds a little bit more sensory pleasure to the whole experience! Altogether very pleased with the purchase. I’ve only used a couple of times so far, so hard to say if my dry eyes are being helped, but I’m hopeful they will be, as my friend benefited hugely from her wheat mask.
